Plus Classes underway!
We have 15 dancers in our Plus - Level class which started in late March. With that many students - we need angels to fill out our squares! Lessons start at 6:45 PM on Fridays.
I have been approached by several people asking me if they are ready to take Plus Lessons. That's a hard one to answer because it is really your decision. But here is what I would ask myself if I were in their shoes, so to speak:
1. Do I feel comfortable with the calls at Mainstream? In other words, do I feel I could dance to other callers at a festival.
2. If the caller were to half-sashay the square, could I dance a tip like this? This involves knowing definitions, not just how to get from point A to point B.
3. Why do I want to take Plus lessons? What value do I believe I would gain from taking Plus lessons?
My personal opinion is this: Dance at Mainstream for a year so you can get comfortable with what you have just learned.
There are, of course, exceptions. Just ask yourself this....Am I an exception?

On March 27th; thirteen Duke City Singles dancers went to the Desert Swingers SDC dance and stole their banner! We'll keep it until they organize a possee to come get it back.
Let's start planning to go steal another banner in June! Any suggestions?
